It was a clear messed in New York after their plans for this summer is falling one by one. They failed to draft Zion Williamson. Instead, they drafted RJ Barrett which is not actually bad. They failed to get either Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant in Free Agency as both signs with the Brooklyn Nets. It was a very disappointing opening day of Free Agency for the Big Apple. And before there are no left quality free agents, the Knicks decided to try some mid-level free agents. And yes, they succeed. They landed Julius Randle who agreed to a $63 million deal for three years.
Randle is a rising star. He already proved his worth at his young age. And he will surely get even better. Randle is a strong guy in the paint. He can shoot mid-range jumpers. And last season, he developed a three-point shot which can be added to his offensive skillsets. Randle is also a good rebounder. He can produce a double-double every night. Last season, he averaged 21.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists shooting 53 percent from the field. The Knicks will be very lucky to have him and pair him to the other young guys.
