The Orleans Pelicans continues to do great moves this offseason as they add yet another significant player and one of the best catch-and-shoot players in the league named JJ Redick. After letting go of Anthony Davis, everybody thought that the Pelicans will become a lottery team again next season. But the truth is, great things happen to the Pelicans after trading AD. They now have a competitive roster building around the first overall pick Zion Williamson and the young core of Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart. Adding veteran shooter JJ Redick to the mix will give Williamson and Ingram the space to attack the basket more. Redick averaged 18.1 points last season for the Sixers.
Redick has agreed to a two-year 26.5 million dollar deal to join the New Orleans Pelicans according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
After spending two years with the Philadelphia 76ers, JJ will now a new group of young players. His leadership and experience would be a great help. And of course, his shooting is much needed. We will see a much exciting group of guys next season that will try to compete in the Western Conference. This will even be a more competitive team than last season.
