Recognition Due for Scorum

How are we going to create a product that is competitive in a sports landscape that is fairly crowded, and create a product that is totally differentiated in its voice? We’re going to have to get people that are totally differentiated in their voice, people that ESPN and Fox would never even entertain putting on their platform, but that are compelling, and that we can demonstrate are compelling. … Just like Gilbert, there is a rawness to [Khalifa] and to the way she talks about sports that I think is going to create a package that cannot be replicated by any of these more mainstream competitors.”  - Noah via The Washington Post

^Noah, an advocate, explained after critiques and questions were raised about the publicly staged interaction (publicity stunt) between former porn star, Mia Khalifa, and former NBA point guard, Gilbert Arenas, which was used to catapult their launch of sports talk show, Out of Bounds hosted by Complex News late last year in 2017.

I simply want to recognize Scorum for being that "package" that Noah talks of in his earlier mention. Despite what Noah says being so great, I'm compelled to point out that Scorum has never had to rely on any under handed tactics or 'publicity stunts' to promote and appeal to the great minds of many...

Now, It's almost impossible not to wonder how Scorum will continue to be perceived and accepted by the masses. Not to sound like a broken record, but leave it up to Scorum's incredible background community, platform vigilance, and underground star talent to further drive home Scorum's validity and place in the hearts of Sports Media fans.

Gilbert Arena's 100k Bet Shoot Out Performance (14 Mins)

You won't believe this, but the sole reason I posted this was because of the final shot Gilbert took from out of bounds, way beyond the three point line. Regardless, Arena's raw talent deserves much praise and respect. There's not much to nit-pick here other than that Gilbert very well could have shot 100 for 100 (I believe) had his concentration not had lasped overtime due to a little showboating he did here and there. Still, I imagine its quite hard to refrain from some type of adrenaline/ego rush when your draining bucket after bucket.

Notice, after his 5th missed shot [84/88] he went back to being quiet and resolved to finish out his remaining shots. It was this same cold silence and air of focus that Arena's displayed which captivated me as I watched on. His performance got me ready to get up and begin doing something great myself. I hope he inspires a similar feeling to others who watch.

Indeed, this was a pure display of athleticism, mastery of craft, and gesture of greatness by Gilbert Arenas.  It's mostly my fault that I don't keep up with him at much (being that he's retired for the most part) , still, I've come to find a new level of respect for Gilbert as an NBA shooter and for reminding us all that he's still very much the talented individual he's always been.

In case people were wondering what Gilbert did throughout his career, I went ahead and took a snapshot of his career stats. Also, right now it's undisclosed to me whether Gilbert Arena's talk show is still airing or not. Feel free to follow up on him. I have no further comments in general about the show or it's foundations.
