The Boston Celtics and firing guard Terry Rozier will not reach an agreement on the contract extension before Monday's deadline, as anonymous sources told Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

Terry Rozier has the right to extend his contractual agreement by rookie by Monday, October 15th.

As reported by Himmelsbach, the former Louisville will seek the next summer to get a starter contract, probably in the $ 20 million per year band.

The player during this season will earn just over $ 3 million.

In case of failure to agree by Monday, the Boston Celtics will still offer the player the qualifying annual offer at the end of the season. Without agreement, Rozier will become a restricted free agent next summer.

Probably Rozier will try to monetize after the excellent season just passed, although he has declared he wants to remain within the white-green family.

The 24-year-old has played 16 games in the quintet in his 3 years in the NBA, all 16 last season, following the injury of Kyrie Irving. His unpredictable and exuberant style of play will be an important part of the Boston Celtics bench for the 2018/2019 season.

The Youngstown native recorded last season 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists, with a firing percentage of 39.5% and with 38.1% from three. His figures were then improved with the arrival of the playoffs, closed with 16.5 points, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds of average in the 19 games played.
