What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the top players that will not re-sign with their current teams. Let's get started!
It's just a few days away from the NBA Finals and the season is finally coming to an end. Then, the recruiting season will come as summer nears by and teams are starting to make moves to lure the players they wanted to sign and players will surely want what they think they deserve. And some stars will surely consider some offers base on the outcome of this season. Some players will get what they want and some will surely not, so, I have here a list of the top players that will not re-sign with their current teams.
Terry Rozier
Terry Rozier has had enough of his situation in Boston and he already expressed his disappointment in public. And because of that, looks like Scary Terry will be leaving Boston without second thoughts. And I believe that even if Kyrie Irving did not re-sign, Terry Rozier will still be leaving and the Celtics will have to deal with it, losing two precious point guards in their roster. Rozier wants to grow and wants to show that he is an elite point guard in this league and he wants to that playing for another franchise.
DeAndre Jordan
DJ had a mediocre season after signing with the Dallas Mavericks for a 1-year deal and then being traded to the New York Knicks just to play for a team who doesn't even want to be in the playoffs. A team who's rebuilding to get another top draft pick and DJ doesn't like that. And I also believe that the Knicks is not planning to sign Jordan for a long term deal now that rookie Mitchell Robinson is emerging to be one of the most defensive young centers in the league. DJ is still dominant in the paint especially in getting boards so some teams will surely love the idea of signing him.
DeMarcus Cousins
Cousins is again facing a troublesome season full of injuries. He just signed with the Warriors for a little amount and sacrifice money to win a championship but how does it taste to win one if he is not even playing in the court? Did you see the look in his face when the Warriors received their Western Conference Championship trophy? He looks not so happy and he should now be thinking to leave and go for another franchise next season. Cousins should have a revenge season next year when he became fully healed because winning a championship without even stepping on the court doesn't mean anything.
