What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 NBA Free Agency! Let's start!
The Los Angeles Lakers are locked and loaded entering a fresh new season. They have a very decent roster that can compete for a championship. Despite a lot of changes in the league as superstars change teams, the Lakers are still one of the favorites to win the title. And as the Lakers bolster their roster, there are other changes that the team is considering.
According to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes, the Los Angeles Lakers are planning to start LeBron James at the point guard position. With the new-look Lakers and playing on his 17th season in the league, they wanted to see him play at point guard where he can be at his best.
After years of carrying his team on his back, now is the time for some change in LeBron's career. He now has one of the top 5 players in the league in Anthony Davis who can take off some load on him on both ends of the floor. He's also not getting any younger and injuries are starting to hit him. Last season, he played only 55 games.
Playing the point guard position is not quite new in LeBron's career as he played at this position for most of his career. He's at the small forward position but he's still making the plays and running the floor. But now, the Lakers are planning to put him at the point for full time. It's worth a try but if it doesn't work especially at the defensive end of the floor, they still have Rajon Rondo who is always ready to play the role the team wanted him to play. Let's see if it'll work out next season.
Here are some highlights of LeBron playing point guard.
That is all for today folks! I would love to hear your thoughts about this article, so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk. 😁
