What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 offseason! Let's start!
The New York Knicks had a very disappointing offseason. They failed to land a top tier free agent and ended up signing mid-level free agents. The plan of landing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant ended up being Julius Randle and Bobby Portis. And as the 2019 NBA Free Agency winds down, there are no superstars left in the market. So, the Knicks will have to settle for the roster they have now for the 2019-2020 season.
But, when Bobby Portis was asked about his team, he confidently answers and said that they can shock everybody and make it to the playoffs. He believes that it is possible for the Knicks to reach the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks really have some dept and youth. They have young players with high ceilings like Dennis Smith Jr., Kevin Knox, and Mitchell Robinson. They also sign Elfrid Payton and Marcus Morris. And of course, they have the sensational young star, the third overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft RJ Barrett. Let's see if Bobby Portis can prove his words.
