After winning a championship last season, the Toronto Raptors have no plans of rebuilding even after the man who brought them the championship left in Free Agency. They still don't want to trade their core despite having some good offers for Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka.
As Kawhi Leonard leaves, the Raptors future is now in the hands of the young Pascal Siakam who showed up in their Finals run playing consistent basketball and hitting important buckets that help the Raptors win. But, should the Raptors secure him early on?
According to reports, Siakam wants a max extension deal with the Raptors amounting to a 4-year $130 million.
Averaging almost 17 pts and 7 rebounds a game last season and being the second-best player on their team last season, Siakam might as well deserve the max extension. Well, this upcoming season, Siakam should come up big to prove his worth.
