What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 offseason! Let's start!

One of the most surprising trade this past offseason was the trade that sent Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets and Chris Paul to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a blockbuster trade and it looks like the Houston Rockets gets most of the benefit of the said trade. They got a much younger superstar in Russ and a more athletic one.

And once the trade was approved, people believe that the Oklahoma City Thunder will start rebuilding and that they will trade the veteran guard Chris Paul to a younger player. Nobody thought that we will see Chris Paul wearing an OKC jersey but when the NBA Preseason begins, Chris Paul suits up and play a game with the Thunder. There is still no sign of the Thunder trading Chris Paul, it's all rumors right now.

But in recent reports, it is said that the Miami Heat is the top destination for the veteran point guard. And the trade would likely be Chris Paul to the Heat in exchange for Goran Dragic, Kelly Olynyk and a 2020 first-round pick (top 10 protected). If the trade went through, the Miami Heat would have to pay a lot of money to a 34-year old veteran guard but it can be worth it. Miami could become a contender in the Eastern Conference if they got CP3. Pairing him with Jimmy Butler would be huge. And with a great supporting cast that they already have right now and two promising young stars in Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, the Miami Heat is with no doubt a contender in the East.

That is all for today folks! I would love to hear your thoughts about this article, so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk. 😁
