What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today, we will talk about the result of the 2019 NBA All-star draft! Let's do this folks!
Last year, the NBA All-star game has a big change for the first time where it will not be the East VS the West. The change in concept makes NBA fans more excited about the all-star game because the past few years, the West always dominates the East because the top players in the league are in the Western Conference. Because of that, the league officials decided to try and change the way the all-star game is being played where the top vote getters in each conferences will have to draft their players for their own team not considering what conference they are in, so basically, they can select any player in the all star pool in any conference.
Last all-star game was a success and it becomes more fun than the past all star games. LeBron expressed his feelings about the all-star draft and he said that it was a nice idea and it should be televise next year. Looks like NBA officials heard LeBron and for the first time, they made the all-star draft live. Now, let's take a look at a short summary of the NBA all-star draft.
The two captains are LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo and the first pick for the starters will be selected by LeBron while Giannis will get the first pick for the reserves. Then, LeBron again will select first in the special draft between Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki.
With LeBron's first pick, he selected who else? the best player next to him, Kevin Durant while Giannis drafted Steph Curry first because he said that Curry selected him first last year that's why he'll pay back for it. Second pick for LeBron is his former team mate Kyrie Irving while Giannis gets Joel Embiid with his second pick. For the third pick, both LeBron and Giannis selected two of the best two-way players in the league with LeBron picking up Kawhi Leonard and Giannis picking up Paul George. Last pick for the starters for LeBron is the reigning MVP James Harden so Giannis automatically gets Kemba Walker.

It was a fun all-star draft night and everybody now is excited to watch the all-star game with this beautiful line-ups. But before the night ended there is another exciting thing that happened for the first time. LeBron proposed a trade to Giannis that will send Russell Westbrook to Team Giannis in exchange with Ben Simmons. Giannis didn't think of it and immediately accepted the trade. So Russ will now play for team Giannis and Simmons is now on Team LeBron. Chuck then roasted LeBron saying that he should've traded Anthony Davis for Giannis' whole bench. Haha! It was a fun night watching the draft night. It was amazing and everybody now is surely excited to watch the game.
