What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the reason why the New Orleans Pelicans fired their General Manager Dell Demps. Let's start!

Most NBA fan doesn't want to talk about things about the management of the franchise, the General Manager, his team and things about inside the organization but let's talk about it this time. The General Manager is the one responsible in taking care of the rosters and who's gonna be traded or who they'd gonna pick up. It's a very important job for a team but it's very crucial because it's so difficult to handle a team and learn what's going to be best for the team. It's a hard job for sure but some GM's are good but just doesn't know how to do things correctly or sometimes they just could't handle the situation when it gets worst.

Recently, the Pelicans fired General Manager Dell Demps. What comes to your mind when you first heard of it? Of course all people think that it's because of the Anthony Davis trade request and the fact that the situation gets worst after they failed to ship him before the trade deadline.

Look at how things heated up in the Pelicans organization. First, Rich Paul (Anthony Davis' agent) who is also LeBron James' agent tried to pull out AD from the Pelicans without the franchise noticing it for a chance to move him to L.A. and team up with LBJ. He has been slowly trying to do that for a long time now and when the Pelicans could't control the outside influences, things gets worst resulting to AD's trade request.

Pelicans owner Gayle Benson has been frustrated over the AD trade request and she thinks that the outside influences was the main reason why AD requested a trade. She also believes that the situation is trying to force them to move AD as soon as possible even if it was not worth it. But the good thing is they keep their cool and remain patient as they waited the trade deadline to pass without trading AD. That's the right thing to do because there can be more valuable option if they waited until the off-season. Dell Demps could't handle the situation and he cannot do anything to keep it in control so the Pelicans decided to part ways with him.

The Pelicans are now in a very bad position. They're a small market that could not attract superstars. Benson wanted to take back control of the situation and still stick with AD. She wanted to sustain winning and hold on AD as long as they can but I think it's really over for them. It will not be fix so they should have to move on from now on. Let's wait until next off-season how the Pelicans will sort things out.

That is all for today folks! I would be glad to hear your opinions about this article so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk! :)
