What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about Klay Thompson and his desire to be a Warrior 'til he ends his career. Let's start!
The upcoming free agency in the summer will be one of the most interesting for years. Stars like Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson and more are likely to sign with a new team and make a brand new start. With these list of players, Klay Thompson is surely one of the priorities for every team that will make a run to get a max player contract. He's one of the most sought after superstars in this list because he is the best shooter in this free agent class or should I say that he is the best shooter in the NBA outside Steph Curry.
The Los Angeles Lakers is the team that will most likely acquire Klay in free agency as they are being linked to each other for a long time now. There's a huge possibility because the Warriors will surely try to offer a Max to Durant to keep him and that will make Klay Thompson left out because the Warriors will surely prioritize Durant over Klay. The Warriors don't have enough space to keep them both and Klay would surely want a max and that would be the biggest problem for the Golden State Warriors that could end up to an end of a dynasty.
But despite all of that rumors, If you think Klay Thompson's time with the dubs is coming to an end, No! don't be lonely, Warriors fans should not be worried because according to ESPN, Klay is not interested or not planning to go anywhere as he tell's ESPN in an interview before a game that he wanted to finish his career as a member of the Golden State Warriors. We know that Klay Thompson is always loyal in their franchise and it's up to the Warriors if they will try their best to retain him.
Klay stated that it will be hard for him to leave because he knows how it feels to win playing with some of his best friends and enjoying the court together. He also said that he already put so much sweat, blood and tears for this franchise. And also, he just couldn't imagine himself wearing a different jersey and being somewhere else with other guys on the floor.
