What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about Rajon Rondo and the possibilities that he will return to Los Angeles next season. Let's start!
Rajon Rondo wasn't able to play a whole season for the Lakers because of injuries but he's been a great help when he was healthy. Rondo has a lot more left in the tank and he can still be a great help for contending teams. He's only 33 years old. In an interview with ESPN, he expressed his desire to return to L.A. and how happy he was in his time with the organization.
Rondo was thankful for playing for the Lakers. He said that he doesn't know what the future holds and he doesn't know where will he play next but he said that if the Lakers still want him, he will absolutely come back and help the Lakers as long as he can. He also said that the staff and all the people that work there was kind and helpful so he really enjoyed his time in Los Angeles.
There is no guaranty that the Lakers will sign him. Next season especially now that they are up to a big summer looking for big-time free agents. They will surely prioritize getting a top tier free agent and the rest will be decided later. Lakers from here will surely rise and their direction is pretty sure going up. There's no way that they will let another year of failure comes to them so against all odds I am sure that they will get the things that they needed.
For Rajon Rondo, nothing is sure for now, nothing is guaranteed and he doesn't have control over what might happen in free agency. But whatever happens, whichever team sign him, he'll still be a huge help.
