Hello basketball fans. Another edition here of the Top draft mistakes of NBA team and today I will feature the Los Angeles Clippers and the best players they passed on the past NBA drafts. Draft prospects are very unexpected. Some players come unnoticed by the scouts then thrives in the NBA season and became steals of the draft. While some players are so hyped but ended up as busts. Now, lets take a look at some players that the Clippers should’ve drafted.

Kevin Garnett

KG is the 5th overall draft pick in the 1995 NBA draft selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Los Angeles Clippers wasted the chance to get their hands on the Hall of Fame forward. Garnett is one of the best power forwards to ever play in the NBA and having him in the team should’ve brought them to a different direction that might lead to success. Clippers originally selected big man Antonio McDysse as the 2nd overall pick. McDysse had a pretty decent career who played 15 seasons in the NBA and even selected as an All-star in 1 season. But even though McDysse became a solid player, he still doesn’t live up to the expectation as a 2nd overall pick and the Clippers made a huge mistake on passing by Kevin Garnett.

Kobe Bryant

I know many teams has passed on Kobe as he was selected by the Charlotte Hornets as the 13th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft. But in that draft, the Clippers are more than losers. They selected Lorenzo Wright in hopes that he would be their cornerstone center for years to come with his potential of being a great defender and rim protector but he disappoints them early in his career. But it’s a hard situation because nobody really thought that Kobe would that be great. Kobe is a top 5 of all-time and many teams really made a mistake not drafting him.

Stephen Curry

This one will be tough because Blake Griffin is a superstar and he is one of the best players in the NBA today. Blake was selected number 1 overall in the 2009 NBA draft. He is a hell of a player but I think they should’ve picked Stephen Curry. Curry was selected 7th overall by the Golden State Warriors. He’s development slowed down due to some injuries that’s why Griffin looks like the perfect draftee. Curry is arguably the best shooter in NBA history, he won 2 season MVP and 3 championships. I think that would be enough to say that the Clippers made a mistake on passing by on Curry.
