When Chicago bet on Zach LaVine and Jabari Parker, a lot of people were skeptical: bot players showed great talent in their first years, but also a worrying inclination for injuries.

Coming from a difficult season, marked by an injury that forced him to play just 24 games, no one expected the former Minnesota Timberwolves' dunker to be the franchise-player already in the first games.

He decided to respond with performances: in the opener, against the Sixers, he scored 30 points with 58% from the field (despite a mediocre 29% from the three point line). Then, he repeated against the Pistons: 33 points with 57% from the field and 33% from three pointers. Last night, facing the Mavericks, he was able to exceed 30 points for the third time in a row, with 34.

The guard from UCLA looks reborn, playing with authority and no fear. Unfortunately, the Chicago Bulls are a young and inexperienced team, and they haven't won a game yet.

But one thing they know for sure is that, if LaVine stays healthy, he is definitely the starting point to create a team that can aim high.
