As we all know that Philippines wanted an offer of making the Cleveland Cavaliers Shooting guard, Jordan Clarkson to play for their Asian Games team but unfortunately for them, the bid has been broken by the National Basketball Association after they refused to release him.

Jordan Clarkson was included in the basketball Asian nation's squad last week as they work towards getting his paperwork done on time. However, a sad news was broken to the Philippine Federation on Monday that the Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard who appeared in two of 2018 NBA finals games against the current NBA champs, the golden warriors will not be released by the NBA for the Asiad game.

Though Jordan Clarkson haven't played for the Philippines before but he has once showed passion, interest and commitment towards playing for grandmother's country

The Samahang Basktetbol ng Phillipinas (SBP) executive director , Renauld Barrios who was very disappointed by the NBA decision said to AFP that the Asian Games wasn't included in the NBA's agreement with world governing body FIBA that allows NBA players to take part in the Olympics, the FIBA world cup and also continental cup competitions.

After a fight with Australia at a World Cup qualifier last month, 10 of the Philippines' first player and two coaches were burdened with load of suspensions and fines hence, Philippines already backed off from the Asiad men's basketball game.

Later, the a team was hurriedly formed out of nowhere and calling Clarkson in the twelve-men roster last week. The Philippines' opening games is against Kazakhstan by 16th of August and they were placed one of the toughest group, group D along side with China who are gold medal Freaks.
