Lakers just signed a new free agent not any of the big-name guys it wasn't a Carmelo Anthony it wasn't Jr Smith it wasn't anything like that it was David Stockton and you might remember that last name because he is of course the son of John Stockton so that maybe had a little bit to do with why he's back in the NBA he did play a little bit for the Sacramento Kings and the Utah Jazz when he was in the NBA recently but he only played three games for each of those teams didn't really make an impact
The last time he was in the league was in 2017-2018 and last year he spent time over in Germany playing professionally there in the Bundesliga league so last year with his German team eight point seven points per game three point six assists two boards 20 minutes of per game you know these aren't really impressive stats, not really impressive numbers.
I truly believe the main reason David Stockton is on an NBA team right now is because he is John Stockton son but look the main thing is that he's a camp invite they're not really paying him any real money nothing against the cap this was his first preseason game he did get some run with the Lakers in that first game against the Warriors it wasn't really pretty but he didn't have a lot of time to show what he could do.
He logged three points and assist a turnover and I was only in seven minutes of play now I will say they signed him like a day before that game happened so he didn't really get a lot of time so maybe in the next preseason game we'll see a little bit more David Stockton.
