This withdrawal from elite players are mostly health concerns, maybe their team needs to compete for a title or some are really healing from an injury right now. You can't rely Paul George or Kawhi to fight for the country right now because they need to figure as of right now how get a single banner in Los Angeles. But there is a lone hero waiting to the rescue, he might not be playing in the NBA right now but he surely would be the best player in the team USA if chose to.
