Kevin Durant too much for Knicks to handle

The Golden State Warriors further extend their regular season record to 5-1 after beating the New York Knicks 128-100. This was led by Kevin Durant's dominating performance scoring 41 points (17-24 FG), 9 rebounds, and 5 assists making the night a long one for New York due to the marksman ability to score from all areas on the court. Stephen Curry also had a strong night dropping 29 points (10-18 FG), 4 rebounds, 2 assists whilst hitting 6 threes demonstrating the fire power that the Warriors possess. An impressive performance from Tim Hardaway Jr. who scored 24 points (9-21 FG), 2 rebounds, and 4 assists showing decent numbers against the reigning NBA champions.

Tim Hardaway Jnr. started off the ball game in good from dropping the first 5 points for the New York Knicks in his first two attempts. The Knicks combated the Warriors throughout the first half of the ball game keeping the contest even with the first quarter finishing at 25 points and the first half finishing at 53 points for both teams.

The New York Knicks had a very impressive third quarter scoring 31 points to the Warriors 28 points with help from Hardaway Jnr. who hit 2 threes and 3 inside layups which resulted in the New York being ahead 84-81 giving the Knicks some hope and having the opportunity to knock off the reigning champions early on in the season.

This was short lived when Kevin Durant went absolutely ballistic in the fourth quarter dropping 5 ridiculous downtown threes and a barrage of buckets from the inside ending the assassin on 41 points for the game. The Warriors shown to strong in the fourth ending the game 128-100 crushing any hope that the Knicks believed they had.

Are the reigning champs just too good? Who do you think will knock them off this year? Let me know and comment!
