Surprising events happened earlier in the basketball game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Utah Jazz. I have been watching both teams here and there throughout this new NBA season and the Spurs have not looked the best whilst the Utah Jazz have been showing a bit better basketball so far this season. This didn’t show in todays contest as the San Antonio Spurs smashed the Jazz getting the 110-97 win with Utah not showing any sign of getting the victory and really showing the struggles that the Jazz organisation is dealing with.

The efforts from Demar Derozan, Rudy Gay, and Lamarcus Aldridge along with the rest of the San Antonio squad have finally showed good basketball in there last two match ups. The first half of the ball game agianst the Jazz, the Spurs had very good team chemistry with there big 3 demonstrating good influence in the game early and having a big 54 point half. Demar Derozan i found to be the most impressive in today’s game scoring a total of 26 points and the Jazz really had no answer for his mid range and close to the rim game allowing him to score at will. I personally prefer Derozan in a Spurs uniform and really feel like he is trying his hardest to perform for this new organization and try to compete at the highest of levels. Rudy Gay was a massive help in today’s game scoring 23 points but also having the ability to grab 15 rebounds which really helped the San Antonio Spurs get the victory.

Both the San Antonio Spurs and the Utah Jazz have a season record of 13 wins and 14 losses being ranked 12th and 13th in the Western Conference which is shocking considering the Utah Jazz finished 5th in last years NBA season and San Antonio finished 7th. It really shows how the shift of balance has occurred in the NBA this season and how new teams are emerging with new and exciting styles and formations which results in good teams suffering. Hopefully the Jazz and Spurs can sort out some issues that are occurring because both rosters have immense talent which the potential of building a very deep squad which are surrounded by superstars such as Derozan and Mitchell.
