I am thrilled to announce my 161st Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will talk about the upcoming NBA All-Star Game as the first round of fan votes have been released.

But first, did you see what James Harden did last night? He was an absolute BEAST for the Rockets. Harden led his team to a 135-134 OT win at Golden State with his 3 point shot at the buzzer. Harden finished with 44 points and 15 assists.

That was his 5th game in a row with 41 points or more! He is my hands down MVP thus far on the year and his team has won 11 out of their last 12 games.

Ok, I was super pumped up and a bit shocked when I saw the 2019 NBA All-Star Game fan votes. Lebron James is leading all players with the Greek Freak in second and Kyrie Irving in third.

But what really caught my attention and made me smile was seeing Derrick Rose in second for guards in the West, trailing only Steph Curry. I would LOVE to see Rose in the All-Star Game and I hope these votes keep pouring in. His redemption story this year is one of the coolest in the league and I am rooting for him.

Would Rose command any trade value to a contender? If Chris Paul keeps getting injured could the Rockets come calling? Hmmmmm.

One player whose name on the list that made me laugh out loud is Steven Adams. He is the center on the Oklahoma City Thunder and is the 4th leading scorer on his team. No way in hell should he even be considered to be in the All-Star Game lol.
