I am thrilled to announce my 183rd Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will talk about my coaching debut as well as the game of the night in the NBA.

Let’s get started with the 6th grade Royal Lions basketball team. Today was one of those days where I could not be more proud to be a father. I had the privilege of coaching my daughter’s basketball team and today was game day. We played our first two games of the year and the girls did great.

Our first game was actually against one of my best friends daughter’s school as well as my bosses daughter. We came up a little short but the girls played pretty good.

After an hour break, we faced off with another team and the girls played awesome. We won by 16 points, which in 6th grade girls basketball is a ton. The smiles on their faces were priceless and the car ride home was full of joy. This may not sound very exciting if you are not a parent, but for me it was a phenomenal day!

Alright, on to the pros. We get a real treat tonight in the NBA. The Boston Celtics host the Golden State Warriors in a match-up of two of the hottest teams in the league. Kyrie Irving is playing his best ball of the year and the Celtics are looking like the best team in the East, in my opinion.

The Boogie Cousins experiment is going flawless so far for the Warriors. A lot of pundits were worried how Boogie would fit in with the rest of the starting line-up and so far it is looking like they can’t be beat. Tonight will be a big test for both teams in what might be a preview of the NBA Finals.

I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 183rd show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
