I am thrilled to announce my 204th Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will talk about my struggles of coaching 6th grade girls basketball.
It has been a good season for my daughter and her 6th grade girls basketball team. We have won more than we have lost and it has been a pure joy watching these kids get better.
But today has been the toughest on the job by far. We just got done with our first game of the day and we played the best team in the league. They had us down by 20 points by halftime and the girls were all deflated. I tried to rally the troops at the half but the second half was pretty tough as well.
3 of the players even cried after the game. Cried? Yes, they cried. I was not prepared for that lol. I guess it is good that they care so much. But it is not like I was yelling at them or doing this.
I try and stay as positive as possible.
The good news is that we are back in action for our second game of the day in a couple hours. And it is against a team that we should beat. Let’s see what these kids are made of!
In NFL news, the Colin Kaepernick lawsuit is over as he reached a settlement with the league. Which means they paid him off. Does that make him a sell out?
I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 204th show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
