I am thrilled to announce my 87th Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode, I will discuss the NBA Suspensions that were handed down from the Lakers/Rockets fight and recap the day in the NFL.
Let’s get started with fight club. Trash talking in the NBA has been going on ever since the peach basket was put up on the side of a barn. The greatest trash talker of all time was the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan. The difference between Michael Jordan trash talking and even the brutally physical teams of the late 80’s and early 90’s like the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons, and the punks we saw on Saturday, was that the old school players backed up their talk on the court by winning.
Rajon Rondo spat right in the face of Chris Paul. What a punk move. Spitting on someone’s face is the most disrespectful thing an athlete can do. It is disgusting as hell. Rondo got a 3 game suspension. He should of got 10 times that. He is a straight up punk and doesn’t deserve to wear that Lakers uniform.
And Brandon Ingram isn’t much better. If you want to go be such a tough guy, step in the octagon with someone. Ingram pushed Harden, talked trash, and then was throwing punches all over the place during the scrap. Ingram should miss a big chunk of the year too, and not just 4 games. He should get 4 games just for that hair cut!
Lebron did the right thing here. He grabbed his friend Chris Paul and tried to stop all of the nonsense. This story is far from over. And by the way, I have ZERO faith in the Laker's head coach, Luke Walton. He has no control over his team. He helped put this team together and brought in Rondo and Michael Beasley and some of these bums. Walton is in over his head and this is not going to work out well for Laker Nation under Walton's "Leadership?"
The Lakers play at the Houston Rockets next on Thursday, December 13th. That game is already scheduled to be televised on TNT. Grab your popcorn for this one!
It was another big day in the NFL. The Patriots crushed the spirit of the Bears by scoring two special teams touchdowns and escaped with a one score win.
Drew Brees tossed his 500th touchdown and earned an impressive road win in Baltimore.
I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 87th show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
