The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury today announced the signing of forward Devereaux Peters to a second seven-day contract. Peters was originally signed by the Mercury to a seven-day contract on Sunday, July 29.

Peters has appeared in two of the three games she’s been available for since her original signing. The Notre Dame grad played 14 minutes on July 31 against Seattle, grabbing four rebounds in the loss.

The 6-foot-2 Peters spent the first four years of her WNBA career in Minnesota, playing for the team that drafted her in 2012. She appeared in 30 or more games in three of her four seasons there and was a member of the team’s 2013 and 2015 WNBA Championship teams. She averaged a career-high 4.6 rebounds in 2013 for the Lynx, where she also earned the start twice that season. Following four years in the Twin Cities, Peters was traded to the Indiana Fever where she played alongside current Mercury guard Briann January. There, she averaged 5.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 30 games that season.
