Another week down but every player survived. After going so quickly through more than 30 competitors, we have an incredible group of 9 players who aren't giving up easily. We still have over 5 full weeks of games to go and with each week players lose another option to pick.

Here's a recap of the week, results, and more!

NCAA Recap:

In what has been a crazy year of college football, I felt like this was one of the most predictable weeks of the year with only a couple of small surprises until the big upset Saturday night when Purdue upset #2 Ohio State. There was also a great story involved in this game as a student, Tyler Trent, who is in hospice and dying of bone cancer, was able to attend the game and received royal treatment at the game. #Tylerstrong!

Ohio State wasn't the only top 25 team to lose. Temple beat #20 Cincinnati, and #25 Washington State upset #12 Oregon 34-20.

Looking ahead to next week, we have some huge games including #9 Florida vs. #7 Georgia, #18 Iowa vs. #17 Penn State, and #14 Washington State vs. #24 Stanford.

New AP Top 25

The rankings are in and we have a new look at the playoff picture with Ohio State dropping all the way from #2 to #11. If the playoffs started today, LSU and Alabama would face each other in one matchup with Clemson and Notre Dame playing in the other. This would be a solid top four and fun to watch, but I have a feeling that we'll see some more changes before the playoffs are here. I think LSU, Notre Dame, and Clemson all could lose games, but Notre Dame by far has the easiest schedule and should be able to remain undefeated.

It's very cool to see a team like Appalachian State jumping into the AP poll. I'm a big fan of small schools getting the respect they deserve, and they certainly deserve to be there. This is the same team that nearly upset Penn State during the first couple weeks of the season.
