I am thrilled to announce my 239th Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will recap a wild Sunday in the NCAA Tournament and looks at the Sweet 16 match-ups and point spreads.

That. Was. FUN!

I must say, that was one hell of a Sunday. The first game of the day was spectacular. The Iowa Hawkeyes were down by 25 points to the Tennessee Vols and stormed back in the second half to force OT. Unfortunately, the Hawkeyes ran out of gas in the extra period and were unable to pull off the upset. But it sure was fun to watch.

The over/under was 155 points and I bet on the OVER. That was my first of 8 bets on the day and the gambling gods were looking down on me as I needed OT to get past the 155 number. Overall, I would go 5-2-1 on the day for a nice profit…

The best game of the day featured Tacko Fall against Zion Williamson. The tallest player in the NCAA (one of the 40th tallest in the world) and the best player in the NCAA.

The Duke Blue Devils were huge favorites against UCF but Tacko Fall led his team all the way down to the final play of the game. UCF missed a layup and a tip in that looked like it was going in. But it rimmed out and the Blue Devils escaped with a one point win…

The remaining 16 teams are filled with all top 4 seeds with the exception of #5 Auburn and #12 Oregon. And I would not even consider either one of those teams underdogs as Oregon is the hottest team in the country after winning the PAC-12 Tournament and Auburn is extremely hot as well after winning the SEC Tournament.

There are some dynamite match-ups on Thursday and Friday and I can’t wait for them!

I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 239th show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
