I haven't been able to post a whole lot due to the newborn, but a couple things you might have gathered about me - I love fantasy football and I love writing poems. So, while I was at work I thought I would combine the two and came up with this. This poem will probably mean a little more to those of you who have played fantasy football, but hopefully you all will enjoy.

Fantasy Football

Ahh the wild fantasy season is in full swing

Giving it my all, trying to win some bling

This season I went big with 5 total teams

It's really not as bad as it seems

It all starts Tuesdays with the waiver wire

Go through each league and get who I desire

Wednesdays I figure out who will start

Who's boom or bust? Who stands apart?

But it's only a rough draft you see

So much news will come to be

Injuries are crucial and can screw me fast

I know some guys will never last

If they don't play Thursday, it's not a big deal

But if they do you gotta see how they feel

Friday and Saturday are pretty slow

But Sunday mornings I get up and go

Double check injuries and tweek a little more

Now I wait for a big score

The day is a roller-coaster of emotions

Up and down like the oceans

Stupid Qb with another pick

Running back goes down, oh that's sick

Another concussion for my receiver

I really thought he would deliver

Kickers are stupid, why do we use them?

It's so rare to find the solid gem

Tight ends are always so up in the air

There's three good ones, so why should I care?

My defense has a good match-up this week

Oh, negative points? That's unique

So maybe there's more lows than highs

But who knows, maybe I'll still win a prize

There's still hope for Monday night

I only lost by 50, what a fight….

Hopefully y'all enjoyed that, it was definitely fun to write. I realized I could probably do more specific poems based on my match-ups, so maybe that will be something I try. I am always up to take suggestions for poems - literally about anything (ideally sports related since this is Scorum). Let's hear some ideas in the comments!

Thanks for reading and have a super Friday!
