The Alouettes are on a two game winning streak after Johnny Manziel has been sidelined for the past three games with a concussion.  The season was pretty bleak in Montreal before Manziel showed up but it's not Manziel who's leading the Alouettes out of the gutter.  Instead it's Manziel's replacement Antonio Pipkin.

Pipkin has had a 2-1 record since taking over for Manziel and now has the Alouettes back in the hunt for a playoff spot.  They still have a lot of football left but Pipkin looks to be in control of the team, outclassing Manziel in the air and on the ground.

Manziel has been cleared to play again but he might not get the chance with how good Pipkin has played in his absence. It's always brutal when a player loses their job to injury but when the next man up turns out to be the better player, it can be hard to turn back.

The Alouettes will have an interesting decision to make next week when both Pipkin and Manziel are ready to play.  Do you go with the guy who wins games or the one who writes headlines?
