How players are told they've been traded usually isn't a big deal in sports. You hear awkward stories of players not being told by their team and instead finding out through social media or sports news outlet but really nothing strange or weird about that. Things went a bit differently for Teddy Bridgewater yesterday when he was traded from the New York Jets to the New Orleans Saints for a third round pick.
Can you even imagine? It's like being a a team building trip at work and then finding out you've been transferred and they just pull the bus over and dump you on the side of the road. I've never been much of a Jets fan and this doesn't help to improve my opinion of them. How classless of an organization do you have to be to just stop the bus and dump a player wherever the hell you are and just driving away. I'm sure Teddy was fine but I've just never heard of a team ever doing something like this.
So long Teddy, hope you enjoyed being a Jet for a few preseason games. Hope you enjoy your time back with a real franchise.
