53 Super Bowls have passed, and it’s time to talk about the elephant in the room. That is, which teams missed the mark each year and let their Super Bowl win slip through? Keep reading to know all the NFL teams without championship.
For a football team that aims to make it big in the NFL, landing a matchup and winning the Super Bowl is the clearest endgame of them all. That’s because nowhere in America will ever host the biggest football championship that rakes in the most lucrative prize money and the hungriest fans other than the prestigious Super Bowl.
The New England Patriots, arguably the toughest team to beat in the NFL, has been to nine Super Bowls since the beginning of its time. Along with New England’s multiple rings, the Pats owe their global popularity and recognition to their high stack of Super Bowl appearances.
The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers - Super Bowl LIV’s final matchup - will now be adding this to their own list of Super Bowl entries.
This makes you wonder how other teams have fared in their own NFL journeys, if they were, or in this case, were not able to land that Super Bowl ticket. Others have not been fortunate enough to win or even get a matchup, which can be a real bummer for many teams and their own followings.
There are 12 teams now that, sadly, never had the chance to bring home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. In alphabetical order, the NFL teams that never won a championship (not even a single one!) are as follows:

The list of NFL teams without a championship trophy could have been 13 in total, if it weren’t for the Philadelphia Eagles ending their Super Bowl drought just recently. The Eagles have been to two previous Super Bowl seasons, and finally winning a championship in 2018.
