Each week I will be making a few picks of that week's underdogs I think will end up pulling off the win. Some weeks it may be picks for all games, some weeks just one. We all have likely seen quite a few NFL games where there are simply amazing plays or something insane happens giving the underdog an edge that ultimately results in victory.

Sometimes underdog wins are due to completely unforeseen circumstances that are impossible to predict. These table-turning events can come in the form of player injuries, bad calls, breakout player performances, player ejections and much more.

I would venture to say that usually when someone picks the underdog to win it's commonly due to a gut feeling or possibly seeing something in the stats that others don't. Since I can't predict the future, these are normally my two deciding factors when it comes to upset picks.

Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert, so do your own research and if you bet please do so responsibly. Let's get to the picks...

Week 3 Upset Picks:

Dallas Cowboys over Seattle Seahawks

Line: DAL (+1.5) @ SEA (-1.5)

I think we'll see Dak and Elliott celebrating a couple times this week in Seattle. If the Dallas offensive line keeps improving to protect Prescott in the pocket, we could finally see the QB Dallas paid BIG bucks for in action.

I have Ezekiel Elliott finally breaking a 10+ yard run in the Redzone to punch one through on the ground in addition to one in the air this week.

Seattle is certainly not to be taken lightly, however. Russell Wilson is dangerous with his feet and can make big plays happen outside of the pocket so the Cowboys D will have to step up and give Dak and the offense more time with the ball.

Both teams are a bit banged up but if Doug Baldwin sits out for Seattle this week (he is listed as doubtful at the time of writing), I think it will give Dallas a slight edge and they will capitalize on it.

Final Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 20 - Seattle Seahawks 17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Pittsburgh Steelers

Line: PIT (-1.0) @ TB (+1.0)

The beard is to be feared again this week! Fitzpatrick is coming off another red-hot performance after taking home back-to-back Player of the Week awards in Weeks 1 & 2. I think the Bucs will continue their dominance again this week en route to reclaiming the NFC South division.

Big Ben has certainly seen better starts to a season in his career, but he did put out an impressive stat line last week against the Chiefs throwing for over 450 yards and 3 touchdowns. Not to mention he also has some very dangerous weapons with Antonio Brown and James Conner.

I admit the Tampa D is both fairly young and shallow roster-wise and they'll have their work cut out for them but will be up to the challenge. This game will likely be a shootout but I think Fitzmagic has a few more tricks up his sleeve to help pull off another win at home.

Final Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37 - Pittsburgh Steelers 31

Close but no cigar:
