The rumor has come true and with an unpleasant move from the management of Barcelona, Ernesto Valverde has been sacked and Quique Setien has given the responsibility of head coach.

Ernesto Valverde was under a serious pressure after Barca’s defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final was the final straw.

The new coach, Quique Setien, 61-year-old will be on a two-and-a-half-year deal with Barcelona as per the report.

Quique Setien started his coaching carrier in 2001 with team Racing Santander and has a good experience as manager with many reputed club in his 18 years carrier as manager.

But at this level the managerial skill of Quique Setien, will actually be evaluated as he has never coached such a highly professional team as Barca before..

Ernesto Valverde has a winning percentage of just 66.9%, which is much less compared to other managers.

Some fans are very upset with the move after sacking Ernesto Valverde, but some welcome the steps taken by the management.
