I am thrilled to announce my 193rd Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will update the potential Lakers and Pelicans trade rumors.

But first, I need to get something off of my chest. Julian Edelman won the Super Bowl MVP on Sunday night. I have no problem with that decision as he was the only player on the offense to have a great game. But it was far from an EPIC performance and he didn’t even get into the endzone. Both offenses were so horrific, that he was the only offensive option.

That MVP was more about how awful the game was than how incredible Edelman was. But now I am hearing a ton of so called experts on television and on the radio say that Julian Edelman is a future Hall of Fame player…..WHAT?! Hall of Fame? Julian Edelman? You have got to be kidding me.

And how about his trip to Disney World with Tom Brady after the Super Bowl? I remember several years ago when an athlete was caught cheating, that they would not be celebrated. Do you remember Lance Armstrong? His life was destroyed by his cheating. Granted, Lance is a Hall of Fame a$$hole, and that might be a bad example, but still.

Barry Bonds is the greatest baseball player of all-time, but he got caught cheating and is not in the Hall of Fame. Roger Clemens is the best pitcher of all-time, but is not in the Hall of Fame.

But Julian Edelman might be in the NFL Hall of Fame? Did all of these sports reporters forget what happened this year? Edelman missed the first four games of the season for being caught using PEDs. He was suspended for cheating. And now his is running around with Mickey Mouse and being worshiped? Not to mention his talent is not even close to Hall of Fame quality. Hmmmmm.

We are 48 hours away from the NBA trade deadline. The Lakers have offered the best deal they can to acquire Anthony Davis. But is it enough?

I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 193rd show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
