On Sunday, December 18th, 1932, the Chicago Bears defeated the Portsmouth Spartans (now Detroit Lions) 9-0 in the 1932 NFL Championship Game to win the 13th championship in NFL history. It was the second championship for the Bears franchise.

The season was not originally planned to have a championship game, however the Bears and Spartans were both tied for first place in the regular season standings at the end of the year, and the two head-to-head matchups between the two teams during the regular season both ended in ties, prompting the NFL to hold the championship game. The game was held in Chicago Stadium in Chicago.
