On Sunday, February 9th, 2025, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX to win the 105th championship in NFL history. It was the fifth championship for the Eagles franchise as Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts won the Super Bowl MVP award. The game was held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen won his first MVP award with 28 passing touchdowns and 3,731 passing yards, while Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II won his first Defensive Player of the Year award with four interceptions and a forced fumble.
