Every year my friends and I get together and make our own live draft. This year I got involved in two different pools with both having their own point system but I will concentrate on the more technical pool.
I will be sharing how I ended up and will share my progress troughout the year. Last season I finished 3rd in the two hockey pools I joined and this had me in the money , just enough to make a little profit. This year I am not so confident due to some of my players season's start but hoefully it will get better in the next few games.
The point system of this pool is based on multiple factors:
.Goal: 3 points
.Assist: 2 points
.Blocked Shot: 0.4 Points
.Penalty minutes: 0.3 Points
.Power play Points: +1
.Short Handed assist and goal: +1 and +2
.Goalie Win: 4 point if Shoutout +3
.Plus&minus: 0.5 & -0.5 points
My team has 11 active players when everyone is playing with 4 players benching. Which mean when there is a day with almost every team playing you need to make sure to suit up the right guy at the right position and hope that he performs better then the one you left on the bench.
Here is what my Roster looks like for this season:
My centres:
Anze Kopitar,
Sean Monahan,
Elias Petterson,
Ryan Johansen
Left wing:
Nikolah Ehlers,
Travis Konecny,
Taylor Hall,
Right wing:
Ty Rattie ( which I am going to drop if he doesn't do much next game),
Phil Kessel
Defense:
Rasmus Dahlin,
Miro Heiskanen,
Oscar Klefbom,
Rasmus Dahlin,
Charlie Mcavoy
Goalies:
Cam Talbot,
Andrei Vasilevsky
Right now on 12 poolers I am at rank 11 after only 2 match played. I will update this blog from time to time and let you know if I improved my rank and what changes have I made to my roster.
