I’ve spent way too much money on hockey cards lately! I’ve been on vacation this past week! It was a staycation so guess what happens when I have too much time on my hands? I buy too many hockey cards!
I bought a box of 2017 Toronto Maple Leafs Centennial the week before Hockey Card Day In Canada! Even though I’m not a Leafs fan, I really like the Leafs Centennial set because I’m a big autograph collector. I love the sets that’ll give you autographs of players that you maybe won’t get in most other sets, even if those guys aren’t Hall of Fame calibre players. You get a lot of old school Leaf player autographs in this. In this box, I got a big autograph!
Glenn Anderson!
He’s a rare autograph to boot! His group ratio is 1 out of every 689 packs, so I know it’s rare! The box cost me $89, taxes included. I’m going to sell this card on eBay (I already have it listed on a buy it now or best offer for $180, plus shipping) and this card alone should pay for the box. The Beckett price guide has it listed for up to $200. Anytime you get a card that will pay for your box, it’s a good box break!
