This has been my longest stint without posting on Scorum since I joined the revolution all those moons ago. In fact, for the past week I've not even been able to vote, as I'm not set up on my mobile phone. I do all of my voting and posting from my laptop. So, seeing as I have been busy sunning myself in Portugal with my wonderful family, I have been Scorum-less.
In some ways the rest has been good, but to be honest I've really missed it. A little break from anything is good, but the fact that my study and my holidays came back to back without any time in between to manage a post means my exodus lasted a full 15 days! That's just given me an idea.. Spotify. check. Bob Marley. Check. Album Legend. Check. What an album! What a man!! Now, back to my post.
A little taster for any non-Bob fans...
Exam
I was telling ye I was studying for a professional exam in my last post. These particular Cisco accreditation expire after 3 years if you don't progress further or redo an existing exam. So I had until May 5th to either sit the next level exam or redo the older exam. I did the next level one of course and I opted for self study and just bought some Cisco press books and crammed it all into a rather hectic 2 months of reading, study and labs. I decided to schedule the exam for just before I flew to Portugal so that I could really enjoy the break without the thoughts of study and labs when I came home. The exam on the day was tough and the pass mark was 81% or higher, but lucky my hard work paid off and I was able to work my way through the questions and passed it comfortably in the end.
I was delighted with myself heading off on my holidays knowing that I won't have to open a book to study when I got home, and even more so now that I am home and we have a mini heat wave here in Ireland!!
I now have 3 years to prepare for the next exam, but knowing me, it'll be February 2022 when I start studying again!
