~The first world cup trophy was named by the third FIFA President, Julies Rimet. The French-blooded president became the person responsible for creating and organizing the World Cup tournament, after he passed a vote to start the global soccer championship in 1929.

The first trophy was designed by Abel Lafleur with the design of the Greek Victory Goddess, Nike.
