The opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Saturday (08/18/2018) night in Jakarta took place spectacularly. The entire program shows Indonesia's cultural diversity which consists of 300 ethnic groups and 742 regional languages.
I watched the opening of the 2018 Asian Games through national television shows. The famous Indonesian singers performed songs that were cheerful and greeted with rumbling throughout the stadium. The atmosphere is increasingly lively with a stage background that shows Indonesia's natural beauty.
The appeal of the opening event began with footage of the actions of the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, driving a motorcycle through the streets of Jakarta. At one point, Joko Widodo had invited school children to cross the street.
After that Joko Widodo was shown again spurring his motorbike back. In the video footage, Joko Widodo was described as entering the arena of the Bung Karno Stadium. The person who was riding a motorcycle then actually entered the arena and crossed to the back stage.
From behind the stage, the Indonesian President then appeared to start the 2018 Asian Games opening. Cool ... !!
As an Indonesian citizen, I hope that this Asian Games will be successful and Indonesian athletes will be able to win gold medals.
