Jakarta - Two Indonesian martial arts athletes, Yola Primadona Jampil and Hendy, won the gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games from the men's double art martial arts branch, Monday (08/27/2018) afternoon WIB. Both call the new movement shown to be the key to success in winning a gold medal.
Yola and Hendy were far superior from Vietnamese couples who won 562 points and were entitled to silver medals, as well as Malaysian athletes who won bronze medals with 560 points.
The Indonesian couple said the decision to use the new movement at the 2018 Asian Games was the key to their success. Want to appear surprising, both of them continued to practice with new movements after the 2017 SEA Games.
"After performing at the 2017 SEA Games, we really made preparations by thinking that using the old movement would be less good. We also thought about changing the movement. With the help of the coach, we made a new movement and the results can be seen by ourselves," said Hendy
The decision to change the movement was acknowledged by Yola Primadona as a form of quality improvement, considering that all opponents faced had been met in previous championships.
"For this men's doubles number, we have met all opponents before, such as in the world championships, at the SEA Games. When martial arts perform at the Asian Games they try to increase their level. We also have to raise our level," Yola said.
"So our game at the world championship and our SEA Games is overhauling. Thank God we can meet high expectations by winning gold," he continued.
The 2018 Asian Games gold medal is an extraordinary result for both of them who are practicing furiously with the new movement after 2018 Ramadan. In fact, both of them claim there are many injuries, due to the slashing and slashing of weapons they experienced during training to win gold at the 2018 Asian Games.
