Betting on sports requires due diligence. To successfully predict the outcomes of a particular match, a sports bettor must have had the time to know the things that went down before, during, and after an event. That’s just the name of the game. The more you’re informed, the higher your chance of making a smart guess.
So to encourage passionate bettors like me to stay in the loop and be on the lookout for sports updates at the right places, here is a list of sports betting news sites I consistently follow news, betting lines, matchups and even expert insights on up and coming sports events.
Pinnacle
Formerly known as Pinnacle Sports, this sportsbook has been around for a while. It started in 1998 and to this day, it’s still one of the well-known books that have extensive amounts of information--whether on regular sports bits or betting info.
Nitrogen Sports Blog
Like Pinnacle, a front-runner in everything sports betting-related is Nitrogen Sports Blog. While it covers the same sports betting news that regular sportsbooks do, it’s the best go-to site for Bitcoin bettors as it offers news, guides and trends on Bitcoin as well. Nitrogen is where I usually refresh for the latest lines, matchups, odds, upcoming events and news as the site is highly active and insightful.
Bleacher Report
Bleacher Report does not dabble much on the betting side, but it’s the best avenue for keeping track of sports updates and understanding the sports culture. The site has a collection of almost anything you need to know, whether you’re learning a new sport, knowing a player, or digging up stats. Every casual sports bettor checks the site at least once a day just to stay in the loop.
Sports Insights
This one’s for you if you’re someone like me who likes to have a more analytical approach to sports betting. Sports Insights centers on a data-driven content to analyze upcoming games and matchups. There’s also a generous amount of odds and guides to help you navigate through various betting lines available in the market.
SB Nation
Before I found a couple good blogs, I used to spend most of my time at SB Nation to read up on everything sports. Like BR, SB Nation is now one of the largest sports media brands that have rich content not only on current sports events but also on the latest lines, odds and sports betting news. If you’re an up-and-coming sports bettor wanting to broaden your knowledge on various sports, I highly recommend SB.
Bettingexpert
Bettingexpert is more of a tipster site, but it’s worth an honorable mention. The site has lots of guides on everything, so it’s where you can make sense of what you know about the sport and apply it to betting. I usually go there for betting tips and tricks, and for when I’m trying to learn a new betting style that may work better with a particular sport.
