Robert Karas won the title of world champion in the triple triathlon ironman. What is more, the Pole set a new world record, ending a murderous competition in less than 31 hours.

"Triple Ironman" is a competition in which participants have to swim 11.4 kilometers, cycle 540 kilometers and run 126.6 kilometers, which is the equivalent of three marathons. Karas did it in 30 hours, 48 minutes and 57 seconds. He was faster by more than an hour and a half than the second on the finish line, Rait Ratasepp who finished with the following result 33:20:14. Karas not only became the world champion in the triple Ironman, but also beat the 15-year world record! The previous record was 31: 47.57 and belonged to Luis Wildpanner.

Before the start in Lensahn, Germany, Karas on his Facebook quoted a Catalonian long-distance skier, ski alpine skier, mountain biker, and duathlon master - Kilian Jornet Burgada:

"It's time to suffer, it's time to fight, it's time to win."

Pole, Karaś dedicated his start to the people in need, encouraging others to help charity foundations.
