50 SCR in prizes will be awarded to the winning entry
Every Scorum member is eligible to enter with the exception of un-repentant plagiarisers
- To enter the contest leave a comment on this blog with a link to a Scorum Account Profile holding less than 50 SP/SCR total that you would like to nominate as Scorum's most undervalued blogger. You may make multiple nominations of unique accounts, but any duplicate nominations of the same account will be disqualified.
- The nominee must have written at least one high-quality blog with no pending payouts at the time of the nomination of over $100.
- If either the person making the nomination or the nominee has been cited for plagiarism within their last 5 blogs or is found to have plagiarism in a current blog that is waiting for payout the entry will be disqualified. If the nominator was guilty but the blogger was not, then that blogger would become eligible for renomination by another member.
- No self-nominations will be accepted
- The person making the nomination will be considered the first vote, others who desire to vote for the nominee can do so by commenting under the nominating comment with a "+1". Scorum members may vote on multiple nominees, so if someone else that you want to support is added after you have already voted once you will also be able to also cast a vote for that new candidate.
- I will be the sole judge of what constitutes a qualifying nomination, but support in detecting plagiarism or other potentially disqualifying violations will be much appreciated.
- The winning entry will be determined by the nominee who receives the greatest number of +1 votes in the comments. Regular monetary upvotes to either the blog or the comments will have no bearing on the outcome of the contest, but they will be much appreciated by this blogger and those leaving comments and nominations.
- The winning nominee will receive 25 SCR and the person who nominated them will also receive a 25 SCR finders fee. Hopefully, recognition from this contest will also lead to greater visibility and higher future rewards for both of these award winners.
- 50% of the payout from this and all future contest blogs will go toward the next contest. Since 25% of the reward from the blog will go to those who have upvoted it that will leave 25% of the reward as my commission for hosting the contest.
- I will attempt to leave a 5% upvote on any comment with a valid entry and a 1% upvote for anyone who votes for a candidate. This amount may be adjusted for future contests after I see how well my voting power holds up. The actual monetary payout for these upvotes will vary with my VP at the time, but hopefully, everyone will receive something for their participation in the contest.
- This contest will end when the payout process begins on Thursday evening.
- My vote will be the final and deciding vote for any ties.
- If any member would like to add to the sponsorship of this contest they may send their donation to me in even-numbered whole SCR amounts with a memo stating what the funds are to be used for. Donors of 10 SCR or greater may place an Ad, comment or invitation consisting of a photo or graphic and a short comment of no more than 150 words at the footer of the next contest blog. I reserve the right to reject any such comment, photo or graphic and return the donation for any reason stated or otherwise at my own discretion. Regardless of whether a comment is added, any donors of any amount will be listed by Scorum account name in future contest blogs unless otherwise directed by the donor. Send Ads, comments, and photos to be added to; scorum_pete@aol.com
- Comments and recommendations on how to improve the contest are appreciated and will be taken into consideration.
- Feel free to use other social media and blogs to drum up support for your entry.
As the garden grows so does the gardener
The purpose of this contest is to recognize and promote Scorum members who have been struggling to receive a proper reward for their labors and to also promote our newest members who have written quality blogs but have not yet been noticed by the community at large.
When we add fertilizer and water to the plants in a garden they will grow up healthy and bear fruit for our table. Likewise, when we support our new and growing members we are investing in our own future and we will surely reap the rewards for these efforts for years to come.
New!
