From my own perspective, Bruce Lee is one of the best martial artists where he is both an actor as well as a martial arts instructor. He even creates his own style of martial art Jeet Kune Do, which is considered as both kungfu style and wushu style.
During his time he was considered as the most influential martial artist and considered by many people as the best martial artist also.
Bruce Lee trained when he was at 16 years old under Yip Man classes where he practices some sticking hand drills, free-sparring, and wooden dummy techniques. It was around one year when Bruce Lee continues his training and it was found out by Yip Man's other student that Bruce Lee is not a pure Chinese and that they ignore continue teaching him martial arts.
Bruce Lee who is born with the mixed ancestry of Asian and European was denied by other martial artists since most of them are against teaching non-Asians. But since Bruce Lee has still the passion on Wing Chun he continued his private training personally to his teacher Yip Man and Wong Shun Leung.
Life In America
Bruce Lee in his studies in Hong Kong ended up with poor academic performance and poor conduct that is why he was transferred to St. Francis Xavier's College where he was mentored by Brother Edward in boxing. Bruce Lee did manage to excel in Hong Kong school tournaments where he knocks out the previous champion.
Bruce was gone into a street fight against the son of feared triad family. Bruce Lee's parent decided to transfer him to the United States where he will leave safe and will have a peaceful life.
He then attends high school in the United States and at the same time worked as a live-in waiter on Ruby Chow's restaurant, where Chow's husband is a co-worker and a friend of Bruce Lee's father.
After finishing his studies, he then began teaching martial arts in the United States in his way of Wing Chun which he called Jun Fan Gung Fu.
Wong Jack Man is against Bruce Lee who is teaching non-Chinese people, due to that the two duel where Bruce Lee able to beat Wong Jack Man in a match.
Life As An Actor
He appeared in Television Series in The Green Hornet's sidekick Kato and other several television series. Bruce Lee returned to Hong Kong and did a couple of movies like The Big Boss (1971), Fist of Fury (1972) and Way of the Dragon (1972).
In one of his movie Game of Death, he has a fight scene with a 7 feet American Basketball Player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, which is also his former student.
Bruce Lee is the Finest Martial Artist
Bruce Lee really has the talent for Martial Arts where he learned several martial arts and created his own style a well. It is great that Bruce Lee did pass off what he has learned about martial arts to anyone without exception.
Bruce Lee is against race criticism as I can see in him, he does not select people he wants to teach and by that, he is truly an amazing man.
His legacy will still continue in many ways where we see some documentaries in him as well as he is replicated in most games like Tekken, Street Fighter, and many others.
