It seems that Team USA was not able to provide the expected results they want to achieve in FIBA as they failed in quarterfinals first round when they face France and then lost to Serbia on the classification after. I guess the injury of Jayson Tatum been a vital event for the Team USA even Donovan Mitchell did his best for the team but still not enough.
With just two consecutive loses, the team makes sure that they will put a good finish in FIBA as they manage to take down Poland in the classification round for 7th placer. They finish the game with a final score 87-74 where Team USA takes a good lead on the first and second quarter, making sure that they could fully secure the spot. Poland really tried to work in the third quarter but failed to maintain in the final quarter, resulting in Team USA's 7th finish.
As always, Donovan Mitchell takes the lead for Team USA with his points contribution and some couple of assists. I guess its a lesson learned for Team USA, not to take lightly on other national teams especially on upcoming Olympics.
