It has just been around 15 days since Scorum has announced its blog, we already have started working together to make Scorum a better place. There are different discord and telegram community working together for it. Recently @scorum-fans/@kennybll started  Scorum Notification bot, and I am fortunate that I saw it early and I needed it the most. Notification is what everyone felt missing in Scorum platform. There were no options for getting notified if somebody commented on your post or someone replied you back. It is the wonderful job from Kenny and many Scorum users already tried it.

What Scorum Notification Notifies?

Scorum Notification notifies you any of the following events:

  1. Notifies you if someone votes for the user
  2. Notifies you if the user votes for someone
  3. Notifies you if the user transfers SCR to someone
  4. Notifies you if the user receives SCR from someone
  5. Notifies you if the user comments on someone's posts
  6. Notifies you if the someone comments on user's posts
  7. Notifies you if the user posts on Scorum

These notifications are delivered to you as a direct message in discord, and the message is nicely formatted manner with links of the post.

My Experience:

After I came home, I opened Scorum and saw the post by Kenny. I had joined scorum fan discord channel earlier, and check it. I joined the notification channel and try to figure it out. It feels great to see those notification coming as private message in discord. I was like a blind man without these notification. The admin in the channel and Kenny helped me in registration.

If you want to use this awesome bot, join Scorum Fans discord channel by clicking here: https://discord.gg/ab6XSz. It is nice little community of Scorum users where you can interact with people, share your posts, have a chance to make new Scorum friends who have similar interest and aim.

In the channel, there is "notifications" channel where you can register for the Scorum notification. The registration is pretty simple, you can just message "N.register scorum-username notifiers". Notifiers are the list of notification you want to get notified. You can use N.help to view all notifiers.

You can select any of those notifiers. I think votes_in and comments_in are major notification we need. for registering this 2 notification. For this I simply typed: N.register sashank votes_in comments_in. You can change sashank to your username.

And the cool feature of this notification bot is you shouldn't worry about missing posts from your favorite users. To subscribe action of your favorite authors, you can do in a similar way by using the author username in the field of Scorum Username. Here I subscribed to the posts from our very own @pete:

The command I used for is: N.register pete posts

And the message by the bot is properly formatted with the link of the post in it. Here are some of the notification I received.

To conclude, it feels good to receive notification of incoming votes and comments and it help you to track your progress. I highly recommend you to register for the notification. I would like to thank @kennybll for this awesome bot.
