Poker It’s a game of calculations and probabilities, calibration and assumptions. Often, you’ll draw on past experiences to make critical decisions. i want to point that's everyone are equally lucky in the life, below i will show you the probability of top10 hands in poker the formula to calculate hand chance for poker pairs AA are (4/52) x (3/51) = (12/2652) = (1/221) ≈ 0.45%.

Famous university's like Harvard University, Yale University,. UC Berkeley, University of Waterloo, Trinity College Dublin. using poker as a platform to teach strategic thinking to students.

What poker can teach u : i have learned though poker a variety of things that improve me in life,  i will address below  some of them in today's article .

Investment planning :  Choosing a starting bankroll is similar to invest in any financial venture in this case poker player invest in he's own ability to win and make a positive ROI return of investment they choosing a poker format what u like and suites you because u need to master this format if u want to win there are ton of poker formats. No Limit Holdem or Pot Limit Omaha, Cash tables, tournaments, Sit and GO , Zoom,Spins , 9 handed tables 6 handed tables heads up tables , What poker room have best bonuses and rakeback , Pokerstars, Full tilt, Party Poker, 888 and the list go on , how many tables u can play ? in my experience 6 tabling was the best option combining table display and  maintain my A game also what are the best hours to play all above and much more need to be considered before investing your money.

Analytical skill : poker is a complex and incomplete information card game in order to stay on top of food chain winning player need to study and improve they critical thinking and problem-solving skills this can be achieved by studying they hand history with tracker's help, like holdem manager or poker tracker   tools . Before playing any hand every player need to think about hes position, effective stack, opponent image , hes actual hand, prior action(unraised , limped, raised, 3bet pot) , postflop getting more complex as u can see decision trees can be very large and complex (i won't get in more details  because this is not the purpose of this article)

Simple Poke Decision Tree

Risk assessment :  i learned that banrkroll managment is one of most important aspect in poker and always need to be calculates  what percentage of your current bankroll u risk in oreder to play poker or when u desite to increase the stake u play what percentage of your bankroll u can risk  in order to take shot in higher stake with tougther player field

Self-control : Did u even catch yourself say's "Oh god why me" well i did plenty of times  small example if a Fish   suck-out on you they think they played great. . They have no understanding of what they can and can’t control at the table, and often think, “I knew the Ace was coming” or “I always win with seven -six suited.” You may be a solid winning poker player who recognizes the shortcomings of a bad player, but as far as the mental game is concerned, you are likely no different. A solid player is a mental game fish if they can't control they emotion and jump on bigger game to chace they looses and end up deeper looses because they play with players they are not match in skill.

Mental stamina : maybe the hardest part for most poker players is to maintain strong mindset during long stretches where skill does not equal results makes the mental game even more important was the most difficult part of my poker journey, one day i realized "that's part of game" smashing mouse or keyboard won't return my loses but instead tilt will take control and as result i would lose even more because i would play emotional and not bases by logic strategy and probability , had realize that i stop tilting "when my AA was cracked from random hand" also meditation helped me a lot on this part of game

Adjustability : Bruce Lee said “You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup" that s applies in poker in order to play close to optimal poker ,players should be flexible, unpredictable(they should mix their game) and able to adjust in different table structures versus different opponents with different personalities and tendencies some of them will play loose or tight other will play aggressive or passive . all above make poker a magic game with unique dynamic.
