I am super happy right now (runner's high is a real thing)! Just a few hours ago I achieved my 1st running goal of the month! Another two are within arm's reach too and I still have full 2 weeks left in the month!

As I wrote in my previous post my goal for the month of November was to run 8.4 km in 47 minutes. And I smashed this goal today :)

Bellow is my route and splits. 3/4 of this distance is dirt roads or no road at all :) 1/4 is asphalt. Weather past few weeks was terrible. Rain and very strong winds kept my pace slow. So when today I had a nice evening with no rain and wind at all I pushed the pace hard! Well, as hard as I could now :)

Bellow is my pace chart. In the end, I had to slow down for about 20-30 seconds to catch my breath. Then sprinted hard, in the end, to make sure I reached my goal.

My November's totals up until this day. My goal for this month is to do 55 km with an average pace of 05:50.

Contest update

I realized, that I probably set the bar for entering my running contest a bit too high since only @vivaultra joined me in this endeavor :)

My updated requirements:

  1. Run at least 24 kilometers (about 15 miles) in a month with an average pace for the month of at least 07:00/km (~11:14/mile).
  2. Follow me on Strava (or paste a link to your Strava account in the comments so that I could follow you and see your progress). I am Tadas K on Strava.

You will receive 5 SCR from me if you will meet these 2 requirements. And will be eligible to participate in the running improvement contest with at least 50 SCR prize pool which will start when we will have at least 5 eligible contest members and will be held every month until September. More information about this idea is in my previous post. Also, you can join Scorum running club on Strava!
